Lately, I’ve been getting asked whether I’ve lost weight recently.

The short answer is no, I haven’t lost weight recently …

But I have shed some of my excess insulation over the course of the past year! =)

The longer answer though is that about a year ago, I think I decided that the consulting lifestyle was taking a serious toll on my waistline. I guess I’ve known it for some time since it looks like it’s been just over two years since I wrote The Disaster Known as Young Adult Life .

And so, even though my meals have been on my clients’ tabs for most of the past year, I purposefully chose not to overindulge and managed to practice some  Portion Control  by spending most of the past year outside the USA. =)

Actually, I had originally set out to get into the best shape of my life by age 24… but since that’s fast approaching… I might need to postpone that goal until age 25…? After that, it’ll be all downhill anyway! =P

Anyway, longer story short, I seem to have managed to shed most of my spare tire which I’ve carried with me for most of the past 20+ years and decreased my waistline by 4-5 inches! (I don’t even remember when I was last this size… since junior high??) Now my problem is that nearly my entire wardrobe doesn’t fit properly… But hopefully, once I’ve gotten most of my business attire resized to my downsized frame, I won’t have the wiggle room to expand again! =)

So, now that I’ve gotten my physical fitness under control… I really need to redirect my efforts towards restoring my spiritual fitness this year. And even though it’s been a rough ride these past two years, I can remain confident that though my efforts may be inadequate, God’s grace is greater and will be what will enable me to truly experience Him again to live a daily victorious life! Another academic year is starting with fresh opportunities to grow… so if you’re reading this… please pray that I’ll be able to experience all that God has in store for me!
