Travel II
Back in August 2005, I’d thought that I’d done quite a bit of Travel . And I recall people posting this rather interesting graphical illustration of countries and states visited . So I found it and (re)discovered the following:
I’ve been to five continents.
I’ve been to fourteen countries.
I’ve been to 22 states (counting DC as one for some reason?) that I can remember:
In the grand scheme of things, I suppose I haven’t really been anywhere given that there are 271 “nations, dependent areas, and other entities” according to the CIA World Factbook . =P
Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted something more thoughtful/insightful… which doesn’t signify that I haven’t been thinking but rather that I just haven’t had a chance to make meaningful sense of the jumble of thoughts in my head. Too much! =)
Anyway, keeping it short. Travel is on my mind.
Why? Because after half a year of almost 0% travel, the other end of the “0-100% travel” condition of my job seems to have recently afflicted me. =)
In the past two months, most of my work has made use of my Spanish qualifications including two clients in Mexico and one in the Dominican Republic.
Anyway, I already have more trips planned through the remainder of 2006 (and into 2007 if we can make this Spring Break 2007 happen! =P) than I can seem to remember.

Yep. Time to rack up them frequent flyer miles. It’s a good thing I don’t mind traveling… =P (and now, to pack and get ready to wake up and head out by 5AM to catch my 6:30AM flight!)
The worst part of all this travel? Countless hours spent waiting in airports… if I were to average… 2 hours per flight… golly. I probably spend multiple days each year sitting… and waiting… what a way to learn patience! =D
So, anyone free to meet up in LA during the week of the 4th of July?! =)
whew, working all the time! flying all the time!!! do take care, dear cousin
waitttttttttttttttt you’re coming up to sf?!?!? visit me!!!!!!
don’t drink the water in LA. if you don’t have a choice though be sure to boil it. good rule for visiting the third world.
